You can coordinate an installation even if you live out of state. Brian works with you and your relative to choose a practical setup, arrange access to the home and provide patient instruction in person.
Your relative stays involved in decisions about their home and who can enter it. A simple keypad may be all they want to use, while an authorized family member manages supported app features.

Will a smart lock fit my door?
Before buying equipment, we review your existing deadbolt, door and installation needs. Clear photos of both sides of the lock and the edge of the door are a useful starting point.
Tell Brian if the door sticks, needs to be pulled tight to lock, or has unusual hardware. Those details can affect whether a proposed lock is suitable and what work is needed.
If photos and a phone conversation cannot answer the compatibility questions, we’ll discuss the next step before proceeding.
Choosing equipment—or using what you own
EasyStreet can recommend equipment based on your needs, including Schlage Encode Wi-Fi locks where appropriate. If you already own a smart lock, share the model before booking so we can discuss installation and compatibility.
You do not need to buy a whole-home system to get help with one door.

Do I need Wi-Fi?
That depends on the lock and the features you want. Remote access may require home internet, suitable Wi-Fi or additional equipment. We review those requirements before selecting a model.
Can family members have separate codes?
Many models support multiple codes. The number of codes, scheduling options and app permissions vary. We confirm the access arrangements you need before recommending a lock.
What happens if the batteries run low or the internet stops working?
Backup entry and offline operation depend on the model. During selection and setup, we explain the chosen lock’s battery requirements, alerts and available entry methods so you can plan ahead.
What does installation cost?
Pricing depends on the equipment, existing door hardware and setup required. Start with a free phone call, then receive an estimate for the agreed work.
An equipment deposit is required before EasyStreet purchases devices. Any relevant subscription or accessory costs are discussed before you decide.
